A Night with Gillingham FC — Away Day at Newport County

On Tuesday 4th March 2025, Munio CEO, Jason Lydford had the pleasure of joining Gillingham Football Club as a company sponsor for their away fixture against Newport County. It was a fantastic opportunity to spend time with the club’s leadership team, including Mike Sullivan and Joe Comper, while getting an inside look at life in the Directors’ Box for an important League Two clash.

With a 7:45pm kick-off, the journey from Kent to South Wales was a commitment in itself — nearly four hours each way — but the company, hospitality, and matchday atmosphere made it all worthwhile.

The Match Itself

The game saw Gillingham take on Newport County under the floodlights at Rodney Parade. While the result didn’t go in our favour (we’ll gloss over that part…), the evening was a fantastic experience, both from a footballing perspective and as a chance to enjoy top-class hospitality courtesy of Newport County.
