Cyber Security Starts With You
Cyber threats are making headlines again—and the truth is, it’s rarely about clever hackers. More often, it comes down to the little things: missed updates, reused passwords, and “I’ll sort it later” moments.
This month, we’re diving into what you can do to stay protected, the power of thinking ahead, and a few ways Focus has been flexing support outside the office (spoiler: it involves lifting a lot more than laptops).
Cyber Awareness Email Template
Need your team to take cyber security seriously—without making it sound scary? We’ve put together a simple, friendly email template you can send straight to your staff. It covers the basics, explains why it matters, and encourages better habits (without any finger-pointing).
No gate. No jargon. Just something useful.

Reactive or Proactive: A Tale of Two IT Journeys
Monday Morning 1
Your team arrives Monday morning, coffee in hand, ready to start the week – and the system’s down.
Emails won’t send, phones are silent, and no one can access the CRM. Panic kicks in.
You’re calling your IT provider, waiting in a queue, explaining the issue again and again. The day is slipping away.
Monday Morning 2
You arrive, and everything just works.
Why?
Because over the weekend, your IT partner noticed an early warning sign and fixed the issue before it escalated.
No downtime. No drama. Just a normal, productive start to the week.
That second scenario? That’s the Focus way.
Reactive IT keeps you firefighting. Proactive IT keeps you flying.
North-west Strength Classic – Sponsor
We were proud sponsors of the North West Strength Classic—an event packed with energy, community, and incredible feats of strength.
It was a brilliant day supporting local athletes and connecting with others who know a thing or two about lifting under pressure.
True to form, the Focus team even had a go at server tossing (no client servers were harmed, we promise).
Safe to say, we’re stronger with IT than with kettlebells—but if your tech needs a lift, you know who to call.

Still Putting Up With ‘Good Enough’ IT?
Let’s be honest—most people don’t switch IT providers until they’re really fed up.
You find yourself tolerating:
- slow responses
- recurring issues
- vague updates
- unexplained downtime
It’s not great, but it works… sort of.
Here’s the thing: every day you stick with “good enough,” your team’s time, focus, and energy are taking a hit. Those small frustrations add up to lost hours, missed opportunities, and even staff turnover.
And when something big goes wrong? You’re already on the back foot.
Switching doesn’t have to mean disruption. With Focus, you get a Safe Launch Plan built to make change seamless. We work behind the scenes, stay in touch throughout, and make the process smooth and stress-free – from day one.
You deserve better IT. Not just functional but friendly, fast, and forward-thinking.

Sponsor Spotlight: Cherrybrook FC

This season, they also made it to the quarter finals of the U21 Cup and semi finals of the League Cup—topping it off with the league title.
And there’s even more to celebrate: for the 2025/26 season, the team has been asked to step up as Cherrybrook FC’s first team, playing in the prestigious Lancashire Amateur League.
We couldn’t be prouder to support a team that shows the same grit, growth, and teamwork we bring to our clients.

Microsoft to Prompt Personal OneDrive Sync on Business Devices
What’s Happening: Microsoft has announced a new feature called “Prompt to Add Personal Account to OneDrive Sync,” rolling out from June 2025. This update will prompt users on corporate devices to link their personal OneDrive accounts alongside their work one.
Why It Matters: If accepted, it could allow sensitive business files to be synced to personal storage — without any IT approval.
That means:
Business data on personal devices
Bypassed security protocols
Greater risk of data leaks and compliance breaches
What You Should Do: Not sure how exposed your business is? Let’s take a look. We can help you:
Review and assess your environment
Apply policies to block personal sync
Strengthen your data security
Contact your Account Manager or get in touch directly. Let’s make sure your systems stay safe, compliant, and in your control.
