Door Community Auditorium (DCA) has announced its 2025-26 performance schedule – a lineup that includes Wayne Newton, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Sara Evans, The Wailin’ Jennys, Arturo Sandoval, Straight No Chaser, The Pack Drumline and more.
“This is the 15th season that DCA’s Program Committee and I have curated together,” DCA Executive Director Cari Lewis said. “Each year, in keeping with our mission, we offer a season packed with high-caliber performing artists, featuring a vibrant mix of genres, styles and cultures and offering something for everyone. This season does that, and it’s especially heavy on harmony and artists with big, beautiful hearts.”
DCA will kick things off with a pre-season collaboration with Colin and Friends and Chant Claire Choir of Milwaukee on June 7. The season officially begins on June 9 with Las Vegas legend Wayne Newton.
June will also feature shows by quirky, interactive duo Koo Koo (June 16), “Texican” rock and rollers Los Lonely Boys (June 21), Western swing icons Asleep at the Wheel (June 26), Chicago bluegrass institution The Special Consensus (June 28) and magnetic Americana songwriter Hurray for the Riff Raff (June 30).
Steve March-Tormé and Michael Murphy take the stage July 7 to perform Elton John’s classic album Tumbleweed Connection, followed July 10 by the DCA return of Southern soul-rockers JJ Grey and Mofro.
July also brings country favorite Sara Evans (July 16), ELO tribute band ELO Experience (July 18), catchy songwriter Mat Kearney (July 22), folk harmony titans The Wailin’ Jennys (July 23) and renowned jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval (July 30).
In addition to Peninsula Music Festival performances, the August schedule will feature four main-stage DCA shows: a cappella group Straight No Chaser on Aug. 2, indie chamber rock group Cloud Cult on Aug. 10, a screening of Stop Making Sense featuring special guest Jerry Harrison of Talking Heads on Aug. 11, and neo-traditional Irish band The High Kings on Aug. 28.
Shows will keep going strong in the fall, beginning with another DCA performance by comic Charlie Berens Sept. 5. Next up are America’s Got Talent favorites The Pack Drumline (Sept. 12), cellist/songwriter OK Cello via a co-production with Door Kinetic Arts Festival (Sept. 22) and retro-soul outfit The California Honeydrops (Sept. 27).
In October, DCA will host longtime favorites Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives (Oct. 23) and American circus Cirque Mechanics Tilt (Oct. 30).
On Nov. 22, the venue will present an edition of its local charity show, Play it Forward, to honor the late Pete Thelen. In time for the holidays, DCA will present Dance Alive’s The Nutcracker (Nov. 30 and Dec. 1), a Christmas show by sibling trio Girl Named Tom (Dec. 10) and Colin Friends Drooling Pianos – Two Crusty Old Musicians and a Piano Whizz Kid (Dec. 20).
Programming will continue into 2025, including The Peking Acrobats Feb. 10, a double-bill of Ruby James and Davina and the Vagabonds Feb. 14, Native American storyteller/poet/musician Michael Laughing Fox Charette in residence March 9-12, and Women of Americana: A Celebration of American Music from Bob Dylan to Bonnie Raitt on March 29.
DCA also hosts a variety of community concerts throughout the season.
