Emma Bousley 11th at Russ Fameree CC Classic – Go Health Pro

Cross country runners from Sevastopol, Southern Door and Sturgeon Bay competed at Friday’s Russ Fameree Classic at the Northbrook Golf Course in Luxemburg.

In the girls 5,000-meter race, Southern Door junior Emma Bousley had the top finish among the three Door County schools at the meet, placing 11th in 21 minutes, 2.12 seconds. The Eagles, who placed ninth in the team standings with 237 points, also recorded another top-30 finish from freshman Addison Miller (22nd in 22:52.84).

Sturgeon Bay’s girls, who came in 13th with 308 points, had two freshmen finish in the top 30 – Delaney Skiba (26th in 22:14.27) and Megan Quaderer (30th in 22:19.71).

Sevastopol’s girls placed 15th with 395 points. The Pioneers’ top finish was recorded by senior Naomi Rikkola (49th in 23:37.56). 

Kewaunee junior Hannah Miller placed first in 19:29.15 as one of only three girls to finish in under 20 minutes. Kiel (62) won the team title, followed by Luxemburg-Casco (98) and Two Rivers (117) in the top three.

In the boys race, Southern Door placed 11th with 313 points. The Eagles’ top finish was recorded by senior Lucas Conard (29th in 18:08.02).

Sturgeon Bay, which placed 17th with 517 points, had its top finish recorded by senior Luke Selle (98th in 22:54.66).

Sevastopol, which did not have five finishers to score in the team standings, was led by freshman Paxton Linnan (84th in 20:39.64).

Two Rivers senior Eli Gallagher won the race in 16:38.95 as one of only three boys to finish in under 17 minutes. Ashwaubenon (55) won the team title, followed by Chilton (86) and Two Rivers (95) in the top three.
