Lorel Jean Gordon, age 73, of Washington Island, Wisconsin, handed away peacefully on Aug. 28, 2024. Born and raised on Washington Island, Lorel was a beloved and valued member of the neighborhood. who touched the lives of many along with her kindness, heat, and hospitality.
Lorel is survived by her devoted husband, Butch Gordon and her cherished son, Jason Gordon. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Lauren and McKenna. They introduced immense pleasure to her life and he or she cherished each little bit of time she had with them. Lorel can also be survived by her sister, Jennifer Inscoe; Lauren and McKenna’s Mom, Karen; her sisters-in-law, Kathy Younger, Judy, Doris, and Ann Gordon; plus brothers-in-law, Brad, Steve, and Jamie Gordon; and her quite a few nieces and nephews will all miss her deeply.
As a life-long member of Bethel Church, Lorel was concerned with the church’s Sunday College packages, Trip Bible College, youth teams, Music Ministry, and e-newsletter, The Bethel Tidings. Lorel’s accomplishments have been quite a few and various. She based and owned the Island Observer. This common Island newspaper reached each state and several other overseas nations. Lorel and her husband, Butch, based Gordon’s North Star Realty on Washington island. Lorel was a gifted author and had lots of her books printed. She additionally was an completed photographer and musician.
Lorel beloved the Washington Island neighborhood. She by no means met a stranger and went out of her strategy to make folks really feel welcomed.
