Margaret “Peggy” Jean Seizer (nee Johnson), 62, of Sturgeon Bay, handed away peacefully early Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024 at Anna’s Home CBRF in New Franken.

Peggy was born Aug. 18, 1962 to Earl “Kinsey” Johnson and Shirley Ann (Simon) Johnson in Sturgeon Bay. She grew up attending the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church and graduated from Sturgeon Bay Excessive Faculty with the category of 1981. Peggy went on to attend Madison Space Technical Faculty and graduated from the College of Wisconsin-Inexperienced Bay with a level in early childhood improvement.

On Could 21, 1994, she was united in marriage to Craig Royce Seizer on the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church.

Peggy’s love will stay on in hearts of her husband, Craig, with whom she shared over 30 years of marriage; daughter, Rachel Julia Seizer of Madison; siblings, Kathy Johnson (Tom Tollefsen) of West Chester, PA, Chuck (Nicole Engisch) Johnson of Bloomington, MN, and Steve Johnson of Sturgeon Bay; nieces and nephews, David and Christopher Tollefsen, and Anthony and Nadia Johnson; sister-in-law, Stacey (Dave) Anderson (and their son, Travis (Shanna) and kids); in addition to many different household; and buddies.

She was preceded in demise by her mother and father; and parents-in-law, Ronald Seizer and Josephine Courtright.

After graduating from faculty, Peggy labored within the city she grew up in and cherished, Sturgeon Bay. Her work profession started with a brief stint at Midwest Wire the place she first met Craig. Peggy went on to work at a neighborhood childcare heart. After she married and had her daughter, she started a twenty-year profession at Sunshine Assets of Door County (Sunshine Home Inc.) in Sturgeon Bay, the place she fashioned many lifelong friendships. Her work on the Sunshine Home put incapacity advocacy on the heart of her life for a few years. Peggy believed in treating all with dignity and compassion.

Because the daughter of a librarian, Peggy was a voracious reader (particularly of historic fiction) and had a curiosity in regards to the world round her. She spent numerous hours outside gardening round her residence, climbing by means of Potawatomi State Park, Crossroads at Huge Creek, and as many Land Belief Preserves as she and Craig may discover. Peggy was a lifelong member of the Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. She notably loved music at church companies, working within the nursery, and attending retreats at Mt. Morris Camp and Convention Heart in Wautoma. Many will fondly keep in mind Peggy for her years of bus driving for the church’s annual night of Christmas caroling.

Peggy’s life will likely be celebrated with a memorial service held at 11 am on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 with Rev. Dr. Matthew R. Knapp, Sr. officiating. A reception will comply with within the church fellowship corridor.

Visitation for household and buddies will likely be held on the church on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 from 9 am till the time of service.
