Sevastopol hosted Southern Door to open the Packerland Convention women volleyball season Thursday when the Pioneers defeated the Eagles in 4 units, 25-27, 25-9, 25-14, 25-13.
“A real barn-burner within the Pioneer health club,” stated Sevastopol head coach Roxanne Schopf.
The Pioneers have been led by the blocking of Caitlyn Fellner and Charlotte Stueber, whereas Leah Schopf and the Pioneers dominated the service line.
The Eagles’ statistical leaders included Ashlyn Delfosse with 9 assists, Alanna Paye with 11 digs and Audrey Plzak with three aces and 7 digs.
Up subsequent for Sevastopol is a non-conference house match Sept. 12 towards Bonduel, whereas Southern Door performs a non-conference match Tuesday at Reedsville earlier than the workforce’s first house match Sept. 12 towards Peshtigo.
Clippers Overwhelmed by Bulldogs
Sturgeon Bay’s women volleyball workforce misplaced its opening Packerland Convention match Thursday in three straight units at Peshtigo, 21-25, 20-24, 16-25.
Statistical leaders for the Clippers included: Audrey Harrington, 10 kills; Stevie Routhieaux, 9 kills; Ellys Carter, 10 digs and 4 aces; and Annika Schoeneman, 24 assists.

Gibraltar’s women volleyball workforce opened Packerland Convention motion Thursday by shedding in three straight units at NEW Lutheran, 17-25, 15-25, 16-25.
The Vikings’ statistical leaders included: Lauren Bertges, 5 kills; Mikala Gorham, 5 kills and 10 digs; Pam Prescott, 13 digs; and Amelia Zoschke, 12 assists.
