The Village of Sister Bay is hosting a public hearing to gather feedback from residents about the new Comprehensive Plan draft on March 11 at 5:30 pm.
The plan addresses how the village is to develop over the next two decades and includes statistical information, goals, and objectives for a variety of elements such as housing, transportation and economic development. The village is also hosting public hearings regarding changes to the Floodplain Zoning and chapter 66 of the zoning code on Feb. 25 at 5:30 pm. The Floodplain chapter established the regulatory framework for the floodplain areas in the village. Adoption of the ordinance includes adoption of the Federal Emergency Management Agency updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps. The proposed ordinance can be viewed HERE.
The zoning code changes create an overlay district for the B-2 zoning district; change specific height restrictions in the B-3 district; revise tree regulations; revise water setbacks; and several other amendments. All proposed amendments can be viewed HERE.
Both meetings will be held at the Sister Bay/ Liberty Grove Fire Station at 2258 Mill Road.
