Jordan Strah has taken on the position of Portfolio Manager for the catastrophe bond funds and other insurance-linked securities (ILS) strategies at Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions.
Strah joined K2 Advisors, the hedge fund focused unit of Franklin Templeton, back in 2022 working as a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager within the team that looked after the catastrophe bond fund strategies there.
In January this year, Strah was promoted to Senior Analyst, again with a focus on catastrophe bonds and ILS strategies offered by Franklin Templeton entities.
In May this year, Michael Rich departed his position leading cat bond and ILS portfolio management at the company. Initially, Rob Christian, Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of K2 Advisors, assumed the portfolio management responsibilities for the products he was the Portfolio Manager for.
Now, according to an update to LinkedIn, Jordan Strah has become Portfolio Manager at Franklin Templeton from October 2024, presumably with PM responsibilities across the cat bond and ILS product strategies there.
Before he joined the company, Strah worked at parametric specialist MGA New Paradigm Underwriters as a risk and modelling engineer.
Before that, he worked at RMS in the Capital & Resilience team, providing risk modelling support and analytical services for insurance-linked securities (ILS) funds and managers.
The company offers the Franklin K2 Cat Bond UCITS Fund to investors, a strategy that counted almost $140 million in assets under management as of the end of September 2024.
