The Statewide Waterway Entry Grant (SWAG) mini grant program is being supplied by the Pennsylvania Group for Watersheds and Rivers (POWR), in partnership and with funding help from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Fee (PFBC) and the PA Division of Conservation and Pure Assets (PA DCNR).
This program will present grants of as much as $30,000 for design and engineering, building, or improve and rehabilitation of non-motorized public entry tasks all through the Commonwealth. Precedence shall be given to tasks that enhance leisure entry on waterways in addition to people who help and advance POWR’s mission, particularly the facilitation, stewardship, and pleasure of Pennsylvania’s waterways.
Eligible tasks embody acquisition, design and engineering, building, or improve and rehabilitation of non-motorized public entry to Pennsylvania waterways. Precedence shall be given to tasks that enhance leisure entry on rivers and streams in addition to people who help and advance POWR’s mission, particularly the facilitation, stewardship, and pleasure of Pennsylvania’s waterways.
Eligible candidates embody non-profit organizations with tax-exempt standing 501(c)(3), municipalities, counties, and academic establishments. Non-profit organizations should submit proof of non-profit standing and be registered with the PA Division of State Bureau of Charitable Organizations. Candidates can request as much as $30,000 and challenge proposals should embody a 1:1 match (money, in-kind, or a mixture). Deadline: January 1 2025.
