Eve Hill, partner at Brown Goldstein & Levy, attended a White House event celebrating the 2024 United States Olympic and Paralympic teams, hosted September 30 on the South Lawn. The event featured remarks by President Joe Biden, who congratulated the athletes on their performance across the 2024 Games in Paris, France. In total, the United States won 126 medals at the Olympic Games and 105 medals at the Paralympic Games.
“Whether this was your first time at the Games, or the peak of a distinguished career, your legacy is one of discipline, success, joy and loyalty to one another,” Biden said in his remarks. “And that legacy is part of something bigger than yourselves: It’s about your country, the greatest sports nation in the history of the world.”
Across their history, the Paralympic Games have provided one tool for increased recognition and advocacy for people with all types of disabilities. Celebrating the achievements of U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes was particularly special for Eve, who has dedicated her career to ensuring that all people – regardless of disability status – have equitable access to the same opportunities in every part of life.
Throughout her career, Eve has been recognized as one of the leading disability rights attorneys in the country, taking on high-impact cases on behalf of individuals with disabilities and their families. She also works with organizations, large and small, to promote the education, engagement and employment of people with disabilities.
