Eve Hill, partner at Brown Goldstein & Levy, will present a live webinar, “The New ADA Title II Regulation on Accessible Digital Technologies: What it Means for Your School,” on March 13. The webinar will be hosted by AccessComputing at the University of Washington DO-IT Center and the Maryland Initiative for Digital Accessibility (MIDA) at the University of Maryland.
Eve will discuss the Department of Justice’s new ADA Title II regulations requiring websites and digital offerings of state & local governments as well as public institutions of higher education to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 Level AA. She will address the general rule and its exceptions, as well as how higher education institutions can prepare for compliance when the rule goes into effect in 2026.
Eve is one of the country’s leading civil rights lawyers, with a particular focus on disability rights. Many of Eve’s most impactful cases have centered on the intersection of disability rights and digital accessibility. She also leads Inclusivity, BGL’s Strategic Consulting Group, which works with organizations to promote the education, engagement, and employment of people with disabilities. Eve is often tapped for her knowledge of the evolving digital accessibility legal landscape, both by institutions aiming to improve their own services and organizations hosting teaching and seminar opportunities.
AccessComputing at the University of Washington provides college and graduate students with disabilities the opportunity to connect with mentors and professionals to learn about opportunities in computing fields. MIDA at the University of Maryland combines the interdisciplinary expertise and passion of many members of the UMD community to make digital technology more accessible for all.
