1. Call for Papers: Ljubljana Sanctions Conference. The Ljubljana Sanctions Conference will be held on 25 – 26 September 2025 at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana. The event aims to encourage interdisciplinary discussions by bringing together practitioners, scholars, and experts to explore various aspects of sanctions in international and European law, politics, and economics. The organisers invite abstracts covering a wide range of topics, including the evolution of international sanctions practices, theoretical and practical perspectives on sanctions, challenges in national sanctions implementation, sanctions and human rights, legal issues surrounding the confiscation of state and private property, sanctions as geo-political and geo-economic tools, links between sanctions and investment law, sanctions and humanitarian action, critical views on sanctioning policies and double standards, and TWAIL perspectives on sanctions. 1. Name for Submissions: Symposium on Enhancing Compliance with Human Rights from Under in Occasions of Disaster. The Editors of the Asian Yearbook of Human Rights and Humanitarian Regulation (Brill Nijhoff) are inviting submissions for his or her upcoming (hybrid) symposium on “Enhancing Compliance with Human Rights from Under in Occasions of Disaster” to be held on Friday 13 December 2024 on the College of Regulation of Hasselt College, Belgium. This symposium seeks to discover how native communities, grassroots actions, civil society organizations and most of the people at giant can successfully promote and shield human rights when conventional top-down mechanisms falter in occasions of disaster (local weather change, migration flows or political upheavals, and many others). Students, practitioners, and activists from numerous disciplines and geographical areas are invited to submit their summary (max. 250 phrases) to the Normal Editor of the Yearbook, Prof. Dr. Matthias Vanhullebusch (e-mail: matthias.vanhullebusch {at} uhasselt(.)be) no later than 30 October 2024. Deadline for articles to Vol. 9 of the Yearbook is 31 January 2025.

2. Worldwide Regulation Colloquium on the Geneva Graduate Institute: Autumn 2024 Programme. The Division of Worldwide Regulation on the Geneva Graduate Institute has introduced the Autumn 2024 version of the Worldwide Regulation Colloquium. The audio system shall be presenting and discussing in-depth their works protecting totally different elements of worldwide regulation and from totally different disciplinary views.
